Regardless, I have to totally disagree with you and your alter ego with regards to your suggestion that the BOD should reduce charges for what is a make or break match for both Queens and Partick. You constantly criticise the BOD for not having enough cash at their disposal and yet despite the fact that our manager has allowed the team to slip down the financial rankings, - you are eagerly suggesting that they reduce the prices for this crunch must see match!

To even consider such a move would be utter madness, especially as you would have to reduce the prices for the Partick fans as well, - who alone will exceed the largest attendance at Palmerston this season.

If, on the other hand, the match had been a meaningless fixture with nothing at stake for either side, - then it might have been sensible to reduce the prices as a thankyou to the faithful home fans over the season and entice a few more travelling fans.

The correct decision is to maximise the income from the match and thus minimise the losses for the season, - perchance even providing a small pot of gold that would otherwise not be available if the prices had been reduced.

what are you going on about jardi ,who mentioned reducing prices for this match ,here is what i said in replying to albertz comment

oh albertz theres no point arguing with them about prices and telling them what it will take to get these fans to come watch queens ,thay seem to think just pleading for fans to turn up is enough ,bottom line the board will never win with these rallying calls as there only geeing up the loyal faithful no one else and thay will never see any different ,anyways there will be a bigger than usual queens support for this game as there is something on the line to attract the stayaways .

how do you come to the conclusion that its me asking about reducing prices ijn that ???? im clearly saying queens will get a bigger than usual support as there something on the line ,but as for attracting the stayaways this mere relegation game is no incentive to them .

and where in the hell would you assosiate me with this tobbacco man ,he obviously knows me but i havnt a clue who he is as of yet ,altho he dus sound like he knows what he is talking about .

the same could be said about you ,spikefaethesouth ,and a couple of others always siding with eachother and agreeing with the blinkered look at queens are you and spike the same person jardi lol ????

Rallying call from the directors but we'll not be reducing the prices.
    Excellent.
Absolutely the correct decision not to reduce prices IMHO. It would make very little difference to the number attending and would lose the club a significant amount of much needed revenue.

Prices for this game should & will stay the same as always, People that want to go along & support the club wil go regardless of price. The extra revenue from a larger than normal attendance is much needed by the club.

Absolutely this. I also don’t think some people understand how much extra it’s going to cost Queens just to open up the away terracing which requires extra Police , Stewards , catering facilities and staff , portaloos , turnstile operators etc.

Well the club issued a rally call for the supporters to come along and get fully behind the team for this important game and boy they did not let them down. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the players on the day and this was an opportunity completely wasted to convince those wavering fans to come along on a more regular basis. Shame.

I was speaking to a couple who went along, they are not regulars, and they said, they wont be back, and on that showing who can blame then

Once again we need the Dumfries public to come along and support their hame team regardless of last Saturday's performance and result. The new management team, as called out for by many, is in place so expectations should be high of a much improved performance this time under Magic having had more time to work with the squad but the team still need the fans to be fully behind them as we aim to continue in the play offs. If we cannot overturn this deficit against Montrose then simply we have not been good enough-period.

Your post Spike has reminded me of something I wanted to write down last Monday. How many times in recent and not so recent times have Queens fell flat on their face when playing in front of a larger than usual crowd . I am kind of thinking it like a 'Queens curse' . I can still recall a very impressive crowd for our home SC game with Dundee United in 2005. We were terrible , never got going at all and even normally very reliable keeper Colin Scott let in a soft one . McCall's team strolled it. That just one example as since then there have been too many to mention with last Saturday's being the latest example.---------Going back a lot further , we played Rangers in the SC in 1976 at Palmerston in front of an incredible crowd of 18,700. We got flattened 5-0 and this was the game after our famous SC win after Ayr in a replay. The Standard reported it as a stroll for the Light Blues when there was a lot of anticipation of a close game.
