    Grimshaw adds a year

Liam Grimshaw has agreed a one year extension.

    Excellent news.

Yep, his performances at right back have more than merited his extension.hopefuly the first of a few to come, which is not something I anticipated saying a few months ago!

Finally his football merits recognised and question why Robinson not played months ago.

Great news. At last Robinson has opened his eyes. Grimshaw was badly underused by the manager both last year and earlier this season. Hopefully he will be with us for a long time.

If he'd played like this last year he'd have been in the team. He was very lucky to get a new deal as a midfielder when he did but whether by accident or design the switch to RB has helped him.

He had his moments to be sure but was frequently invisible at best and mediocre at worst.

Anyway, I'm glad he's found his role at last.

Compare to Rose who frequently wilted, Grimshaw an asset we should have played throughout last season.
Any player benefits been given run and mediocre players (McHugh, Rose, Frear) kept him out.
    Finally we reap his benefits

Little difference between their performance as midfielders tbh, both were lucky to be renewed.
