    Babylon-David Gray Cardiff last night.

Singer songwriter David Gray started his tour here in the Welsh capital last night and went down a storm. The packed out audience were on his side right from the very beginning and two hours later were still asking for more. It was 7 years since he last appeared here and this tour co incided with the release of his new album “Gold in a brass age”. Unusually his set commenced with several songs from the new album but it was mainly the older songs his loyal followers wanted to hear.including Sail Away and Please forgive me. The evening ended with an encore of One I love plus Babylon which sent everyone home happy. A great start to his touring schedule and it was great to see him perform here once again. If you get the chance to see him , just do it. Believe me, you will be glad you went.

No Alf he didn’t. I’d forgotten about that one to be honest. It was a brave decision to play a bunch of new songs at the top of the show but it paid off. He literally couldn’t do a thing wrong all night and it didn’t take much for the appreciative audience to get involved. We really appreciate good music down here. !!!

    .

Glad you had a good time - Mal....though I dont really know much of his stuff - found this song "The Sapling"...got some interesting shifts...and at times reminds me a little of Mick Hucknall/Robert Palmer.....not bad !

    Cheers.
