    I was there.

I was hoping the mighty were gonna win the cup that year as 1986 was the year halleys comet was visible from earth.....same as 1910.🙂

In case anybody's young enough, mark Doon our cup campaign of 2061 as a possible cup winning campaign.....that's when halley next appears.

I was there as well and if i remember correctly we only had half that end to begin with, then they moved Dons out the other half so we could have it all. Some olympic style running about after that one as well!!

Other thing, there was no all ticket, no queuing twice to get a ticket to get in , nobody missed out and no disasters happened. More in that end than an average home gate at Dens now

    Still in meh ****s!!!!

My recollection was we had the left hand end, segregation was huge in the middle, then the sheep had the end nearest where the away end is now.... as more and more dees piled in they allowed the segregation to get smaller and smaller then the polis just gave up and the sheep evacuated pretty rapid.

That was really the last decade where huge away supports travelled for cup games.

The other ridiculous large away support was parkhead replay around the same time.

Same thing happened that night at parkhead...they had metal crush barriers in the Rangers end and had to keep moving them along to accommodate us...there was a good bit scraping too...oh and we got cheated that night too
