    What's good about football?

Enough with the miserable threads tonight!

What do we love about the game we spend so much time and emotion on?

Last minute/late winners...the ones, especially against the big teams, that lead to unhinged, wide-eyed celebrations and leave everyone hugging and slapping each other's backs even on the way out.

There are loads so I'm going to just say the one to give other folk a shot.

That underdog performance in the FA cup.

Where they beat a billy big *******s team who clearly think they can turn up.

Happens, rarer these days but love it when it happens.

I love the game 90% less now than I did years ago.
    What's good about football?
I'd say it's at least something to take away the mind from the real mundane stuff. It gives some semblance of excitement even with its ugliness (mostly to do with money).

The crowds, the atmosphere, the eternal optimism, the belief in your team your club and in our case our manager, the start of the season being convinced it's going to be much better than the previous season. And in our case the relief when relegation is looking back at the poor sods left fighting it.

Great light hearted idea for a post Zip.

    The best thing in football?

    When your team scores.

The second best (and worst (!) thing): the hope. Especially when you support the Toon.
