Could be right but I just don't see why he would at the expense of DCFC

I'm liking what I'm hearing from Lampard in regards to "budgets"

Bringing in the youth players and getting rid of the overpaid dross is nice to hear

I'd take Mel completely stopping any more big signings, no more silly 5m pound signings

We've been down that road and I'm glad we ain't going back down it in the future

Mel has earned some respect with the not firing his gun during our baron spell tbf he's not not done it twice with Rowetts baron spell last season, so he's learned his lesson?

Hopefully he lets Lampard get on with it (still not my choice in the slightest but that's not my decision)

Bogle already being linked with 8m+ move away, we need more of this and less of Jacob Butterfield

I've been highly critical of Mels running of the club and that's been for good reason

But what we're hearing now and the fact Mel hasn't fired Lampard during the horrible spell should give us confidence he's learned his lessons from the past

Don't like the way he's put the ground in another company he owns though

Lampard still isn't my choice, would prefer a lower league manager like a Nathan Jones

But the fact he hasn't sacked thew 2 previous managers despite baron runs shows he's learned?

Mightn’t that have something to do with the behaviour of those managers?
McClaren made himself unemployable at Derby.
Clement likewise, for alleged improper behaviour and Pearson just appeared to be a bit of a ‘nut job’ who the players disliked.
Interesting that all three have achieved virtually nothing and never lasted long wherever they’ve been since.
Both Rowett and Lampard have behaved more professionally. Neither have been perfect but that’s probably why they avoided Morris’ wrath.
