    Boly and Doherty

Interesting that based on performances across the season Matt Doherty and Willy Boly both make it into the premier league eleven. A couple of years ago Matt Doherty was playing in League One with us, his seamless development into a premier league player is testament to what a good professional he is. Mr. Boly is a rock and can pass a ball to boot.

Good for both. On the subject of Doherty, just a few years ago he was working with his father in Ireland cleaning carpets and upholstery.
He came on as a sub for his club Bohemians in a pre season friendly against Wolves and Mick Mac signed him a few days later. He had loan spells, while with us, at Hibernian and Bury. To say he has come a long way since then, is an understatement!

He is now our longest serving outfield player having signed in 2010.

It is interesting reading what opposition fans say about Boly who is unknown to most of them:: ' God he is a big bas...d at the back'. 'That big black guy at the back is good, he heads everything.' I wouldn't want to run into that Boly guy'. And so may it continue.
