    I think it's because we would have once again beaten a team that's in the playoffs but continually lose against the teams around us

    Doesn't matter who we beat, we just need to beat enough teams to stay up. As i said in a different thread, this isn't the Premier League - anyone can beat anyone else. A team near the bottom could become a team near the top with a bit of confidence and momentum.
