It might sound ridiculous but to be honest, the first thing I genuinely liked about him was he was happy to be around town and mingle with the fans in the pubs, during the World cup. Surely, most fans like to do that dont they and when they see their new coach/manager doing it and sharing a beer with them, hey that must have been a breath of fresh air to see him doing that.

Here he is even supporting us/England and wearing our shirt after his own team totally flopped out lol.

Definitely a bloke who I would like to have a beer and a natter with .

The thing I like about him is that he gets us and he's taken the time to find that out for himself and not read it from a script .

I once went to Germany in the 90's and I have to say I had pre conceived ideas about their arrogance etc etc .

I visited a mate who worked in Munich and met all the guys he worked with so they weren't tourist charming if you get my meaning .

I couldn't believe how down to earth they were and how similar they were to us around here .

If or when England do meet Germany again in a future footy Final though, will he be so nice about us then ?. lol
Ive heard that as well Animal from some of our fans who went to their World cup in '06, they said they were really surprised at the decent welcome some locals gave them even though there is and always will be a rivalry between our nations.
Back to Herr Daniel though... if or rather when he does take us up in the top 2 this season, will the so called bigger clubs scouts be out and showing an interest in him.
