In car music - advice needed?

The original techie dinosaur lives here!

    Step-by-step advice needed:

How do I download music from CD's and vinyl and put them on some sort of device to play in my new car?

I'm like you BT, no idea about modern technology, so I can't tell you precisely what to do, but what I did, with a bit of advice from my son was, put my CDs into my PC and copy them into Itunes, then buy an Ipod and transfer the music from Itunes to my Ipod, and then plug the Ipod into the car sound system. No doubt you'll get more detailed advice than that, but I managed it so it really can't be too difficult.

Thanks sinkov, since I posted the thread I have googled it and the child bride has now taken over the project. The daughter-in-law is a whiz at this sort of stuff and delegation is my absolute number one forte!

I've a Honda Civic Alf, three years old, no CD player. Although I didn't realise this until after I'd bought it.

I am reliably informed Alf that no new cars come with CD players.

Yes BT, but the question I want answering is what do you play your music in the car on then?
