By coincidence, I watched this very scene last week, when it popped up as I was browsing on YouTube.
Brilliant stuff, although Im not sure if I've misremembered something else as I was expecting to see Brian Glover score with a bullet header from a corner, and when the kids where arguing he was supposed to be the referee, claiming that as such he was classed as part of the playing area and therefore the goal stood.
Was that Kes or something else?
Or have I just made it up

In Barnsley Town Hall there's a new statue commemorating the works of Barry Hines and Kes in particular. Shows Casper with kestrel (sadly not the two finger salute)
It's good but smaller than I expected
