I'm guessing this would be done if any other team in that situation seriously needed it and it would cover any costs.
But they don't.How many clubs have faced winding up orders, for the EFL to give them a helping hand, when in court?

Not sure. But out of the teams that faced winding up orders how many didn't pay and ended up not finishing a season?

He's not Italian, he changed his name to Bassini. Bolton will falter under him, which could mean if we go down, it makes our job that little bit harder to return

Bolton players have gone on strike and are refusing to play if they don't get paid. It's doubly important to not finish bottom of the league, this may be a lifeline

Interesting. Can they even put a youth team out given the rules about making too many changes to a team?

Their commentator says they're under a registration embargo as well so there are also issues there apparently

They could do what Chile did for the 1974 World Cup when the Soviet Union refused to play them in a play-off because of what Pinochet's lot were doing in Chile and the Russians demanded a neutral venue. Chile decided to stage the match anyway, going through the motions of kicking off against non-existent opponents and walking the ball into an empty net in front of TV cameras. FIFA awarded Chile a 2-0 win and they qualified, but in Germany they ended up training behind barbed wire after their consulate in Berlin was firebombed and there were political protests in the stands whenever they played (At one game Chile fans arranged themselves into the shape of a giant swastika, visible when they all put yellow raincoats on).
