The Championship is split in two now with the bottom five clubs in a mini league battle.
Sadly for us, Alloa Athletic keep placing the pressure on us and Saturday's game is now the most crucial match of the season.
Oh, how we could have done with 3 points against Falkirk and Morton........but we easily we could have ended up with nothing....that is how close this extremely competitive league is.
Once again on Saturday, we missed some glorious opportunities to kill off the game and I wonder (once again) what would happen if we stopped trying to pass to Dobbie at every opportunity?
The pressure is on our 'goalden boy' and so we should take a leaf out of Jordan and Kye's book and take the initiative ourselves, - perhaps freeing up Sir Stephen to pick up the scraps from parried shots?
On Saturday, Josh Todd was just not clicking and Connor Murray should have come on to try and change the game in the last third. McGrath had been hopeless against Falkirk so he was replaced by Wilson, - yet McGrath was causing lots of problems against Morton when he came on, - so the management shouldn't be afraid to bring off players who are perhaps having a bad day.

Yeah one year deals vs one year loans and it's the same but at least having our own player we still have a outside chance of them signing back on where as loan players just return and that's it.
Im not against it but would hate for us to be a Kilmarnock B team for example lol
Going back to the league battle: we can take comfort we're back to clawing some points. I still can't see us going down, not even the play off spot. Think Falkirk are in serious bother now although Alloa are going to find it tough with these run of games and bring part time. You've only to look how fatigued we looked on Saturday.
We are not going to be a Killie B team Deek. I think we have had 4 loans I can think of from Kilmarnock and one didn't really do well and get much game time ( Frizzell) . In fact Kiltie didn't play that much either . As said before , if any of our out of contract players( all of them bar Dobbie) get offered better money elsewhere , then they will be off. One way of stopping this would to offer two year contracts but thats expensive and not the norm for teams like us now. If a player was to sign a two year deal and is not as good as we originally thought , then we are stuck paying his wages for the whole period. Queens need to get the best 'bang for their buck' if you know what I mean ?

^^^you mean like Alan Martin ? Lol
Bit of a rarity that 2 year deal for Martin. I'm guessing that he said he would sign only if offered a two year contract and then got it to seal the deal. I think he is a good keeper but obviously not all Queens fans do as can be seen by comments on here. I don't think he will play for Queens again now. The thought of our young keeper establishing himself in our first team gives me a warm glow especially as Jack has been very patient and come through our ranks. One of our own if you know what I mean. Good luck to him, time will tell if he's good enough longer term but he's done well the last three games , deserving a run to the end of the season.

I am delighted that Jack Leighfield has grabbed his chance...
