    Swans v Stoke

It’s our third home match in a week on Tuesday night.
Will GP juggle the side or stick with the same players that beat Brentford and Middlesbrough so convincingly, scoring six goals and conceding only one?
In fact we’ve won 5 and drawn 1 of our last 6 home games, collecting 16 points.
Conversely our recent away form is shocking, 6 straight defeats, but that’s to talk about another day.
Stoke visit us in a good run of form, unbeaten in the last 6 games and not conceding any goals, although only scoring 3.
Last match was away at Blackburn on Saturday where they won 0-1.
Stoke have kept most of their PL relegation side together this season, whereas we sold most of ours. It will be interesting therefore to compare the two sides.
I’m expecting a tight game with the Swans to hopefully edge it 1-0.
Keeping Joe Allen quiet and tightening up on set pieces will be key. At least we don’t have to face the 6’8” giant Peter Crouch this time around as he’s gone to Burnley.

What a team guys, 31 shots on goal! Stoke had no answer to James, they had two players sent off for fouling him as he ran riot.
Our home form at the moment is promotion form, with only top of the table Norwich matching us. Shame we didn’t do better in the recent away matches or we would be in the play-off positions.
James opened the scoring after leaving Afobe for dead and beat Butland with a curling shot to the top right hand corner. Hoorn put us further ahead just before half time assisted by Routledge. McClean pulled one back in first half injury time against the run of play.
McBurnie headed in late second half from McKay’s lob into the box and it was game over.
Three wins in a week, keep it going lads, QPR next up, and time to win on the road again.

Impressive stuff that we’re playing at the moment. It’s finally clicking into place, we’ve dominated games and lost away at Norwich and Forest for example, where we should have won easily.
Maybe too late for the play-offs but if we can keep this team together we’ve got a good chance next season.
