So seems I'm the only one who has been doing anything to clear the backlog of unsolved murders on the Ab-mad off topic forum.

Seems the well known reasons for the Nairn bankers murder were to do with his dealings with Livingston FC. The link being that the victim worked for the specialist lending department of the BOS in Edinburgh at the time. Lending to any football clubs are always dealt with by these departments of the various banks. The Bank Of Scotland forced Livi in to administration 9 months before the murder.

That's all I've got out my source so far, away to crack on with the next chapter.

It would certainly explain the wall of silence (even after all these years) from the bank when they have been asked to provide information to help in the case.

Did Livi ever have a bit of a reputation for having any unsavoury characters on the board? The author of this book seems to be pointing readers down the money laundering route.
