    Hayden:Why play him now?

As the title suggests, why do we want to play Hayden now that we are virtually safe?

Do not get me wrong, the lad has been professional and superb but as he is a want-a-way, why not play those that want to stay? It seems sensible to give a run out to the future NUFC players now, as said, as we are probably safe.

    What do you guys think?

We still want to be winning as many games as possible to the end of the season, but I agree that some of the fringe players who won´t be leaving should get a place on the bench and be brought on for some of the remaining games.

The better he plays the more he's worth.

    This.

However, i do agree we should play some more fringe if possible, if it is likely they are going to be here next season.

It'll be hard to take Hayden out due to his performances and a hard role to fill for a youngster.
I'd have no qualms about putting someone in iof Hayden was our only option as a senior and had a bad attitude...but he's got a top class attitude and this is where the nitty gritty time comes in for clubs looking to nip in to steal players who are looking to leave.

The thing is we still have higher places to play for and still have lower places to avoid. On this note alone it'll be hard to integrate youngsters into the mix until we literally have nothing left to play for in terms of advancement or avoidance.

He's earned his place, imo. I'm not sure there are any 'prospects' missing out because he's playing (I know you're not saying that, Ian) so it's only, say, Ki, Diame and Shelvey fighting for the other place.

Plus, as said, he'll be worth more by the end of the season if he plays.

We need to get as much as we can because our owner won't give enough funds to our manager so we must play him
