Indeed, check the line up that opening game

    United 2-3 Dunfermline

    Rakovan
    Wardrop Frans Edge Robson
    Barton Rabitsch
    Curran Stanton Loemba
    Clark

Aird came on for Rabitsch after 45
Matty Smith and McMullan late on

    Manager C Laszlo

    *shudder

We were an effin joke, a weak version of what we could have been even in this division if run correctly, with a clown as manager, our opponents knew it too and took advantage, our rivals loved it

We are nowhere near the finished article but its safe to say the future is far brighter now, very much a transition season, Neilson has done well overall, a proper DUFC is on its way in the near future, I'm confident of that, our opponents won't be able to take advantage of us and our rivals will have to like it or lump it, I think its early enough to get the fans to come back too if so

Reality is we are the only club that can bridge the gap a bit attendance wise between the Edinburgh sides and Aberdeen to the rest who cannot pull a decent crowd to save themselves, while not averaging 5 figures, we can get back into the 7-8k+ bracket once in the top flight

Is it impossible? No. Is it improbable? Yes.

But we shouldn’t just ‘give up’ like we did in 86 after losing to Hearts at Tannadice. If we’d won our last four games that season we’d have won the League.

Make County have to win it, don’t just give it to them by losing.

I dont see us winning all our 3 games, especially if ICT still have the chance of 3rd and Falkirk and Morton are fighting for their Championship lives, but County have a similar run in, so who has the bottle? Evidence says not us!

If County beat Ayr then it matters not but just on ICT away

We went there in December with a weaker side and dominated, they were fortunate to draw 1-1, they have won 4 home games all season, they just lost a semi final and have to play midweek in Greenock before they face us, we are more than capable of going up there and winning, and in the playoffs if it comes to it (not that it is required with the 2nd leg at Tannadice whether it's then or Ayr if we secure second as expected)

It’s not impossible and the odds of United doing it are stacked against them. That said never say never.

    Shudder indeed .

FFS what a line up, that team would be fighting in the bottom 6 with that clown in charge.

Is the Rabbit still hanging aboot?

Probably not. We should encourage and push them on with all we have though.
