thought the point of a forum was to speculate on these things, obviously not, the real purpose of course is to agree with everything our esteemed armchair expert posts...
Debate by all means, which implies differences of opinion, n'est pas? The thread opened with a post regarding Sheffield and suggesting that monitoring was a useful activity. It wasn't , per se, regarding the analysis of all the other potential permutations of results from other clubs. I disagree and feel that its a waste of time and effort, you don't, that's what debate is for, not all having the same F00KING OPINION. I don't expect you or anyone else to agree with me (God forbid), but neither do I intend staying quiet on matters that I have an opinion on, which are many and varied as you know, ok pumpkin?
Well I'll say it again. There is nothing wrong with you having an opinion...even when it does differ from many others. But one big difference I've noticed. Others will debate/argue the point but still accept the differing views. If anyone disagrees with your thoughts, then they MUST simply be wrong! And that is exemplified by you continually wanting the last word so it appears others have conceded! But you keep harping about everyone deserves their own opinion! Must be kidding....
Well, I guess I'm at risk of proving you right, but please let me point out that whilst I disagree with other opinions, but would always defend their right to have and express them, when my opinion differs from their, I get called "messiah", or "esteemed armchair expert", because (in the case of this particular thread) I believe that the analysis suggested is a waste of time. I haven't said that anyone is a "numbnuts" or a "idiot" or any other less pleasant insults thrown my way, simply because they have a different opinion to mine. (e.g. see my response to Joels post (#22))
I have said in this thread and others too numerous to mention that each can have an opinion, and express them ("harping on" even!), just a shame that others feel slightly less "obliging" and prefer to sling insults when their opinion is challenged..
So you have never ever called anyone an insulting name on this forum?? That's why you do cop it from people on here pal. It is all one way as far as you are concerned. The innocent victim.... You more than challenge people's opinions. You downright belittle them at times if it is different to what you are spouting. But you just don't get it....
Funny Oz really - he tells you and others that they are "Wasting their time" looking at what might happen to other teams - then wastes hours of his own time nit picking about every response he gets!
Best bet is to ignore the saddo - I nearly always do these days.
Happy to respond in kind should there be a need, but ALWAYS in response to the name-calling having started. Innocent, give over, never suggested that either. Simply have my opinion, which others may or may not agree with, and if people feel belittled, then maybe they should grow a pair? Been on the end of a fair few attempts to do the same to me, hasn't worked yet (sticks and stones, etc etc).
