    Ajax

Anyone else watch them put Juventus out of the Champions League?

Was a breath of fresh air watching that team competing, full of academy products and young talented players with a few experienced lads in there playing attacking football. Reminded me of our champions league semi-final season.

Love to see us do that whenever we go up, just stick with our young guns and develop them, sign 2/3 players and get some experience in the team to guide them. If we did go up I'd love us to sign Daniel James, Milner and Delph get the experience back where they belong, two solid and talented lads who know LUFC and would give it all for us mixed with our current youth development and the likes of Jansson, Casilla, Ayling etc id be more than happy. Add 2 more Bielsa signings to the mix and that would do me. No more loan signings, just our players. Even if we dont go up, do the exact same thing just won't get Milner or Delph

I know its fantasy but you can't stop me dreaming

Bit similar to Monaco of a couple of seasons ago.. and the likes of Porto who find players and sell them on for profit, these teams get their best players picked off, we can hopefully dream a bit bigger and hold onto our best young uns

Not an impossible dream though. Ajax are playing some magical football, with so many of their squad having come through their youth ranks, and relatively little spent on others. With an inspirational coach and a club that has a clear philosophy of youth development, Ajax are proving that anything is possible...and by coincidence, that seems a fair description of Leeds under Bielsa and Radrizanni. Dream on!

I havent seen Ajax play but their results prove they are a superb side and doing things very well within the club.
In these days of mass spending sprees it is refreshing and a bit similar to us. It does need a constant youth production line which cant be guaranteef. It is the best way to do it though. Sensible investment like any business and then produce our own.
Its a dream but a realistic one. Spend spend spend recklessly ends in tears eventually as we know too well.
