Thread: Play off dates ?

    Play off dates ?

Can anyone confirm that the dates below are the play off dates ( information on most of the official web sites is a little confusing).

May: Wed 14th or Thurs 15th: First leg semi final

May: Sat 18th, Sun 19th: second leg semi final

May: Thurs 23rd: Final first leg

May: Sun 26th 2nd leg final

So, only 3 days between each of the play offs if this is correct ?

Also, this is based on United actually finishing 2nd in the league - which is not guaranteed just yet.

It's nearly always 3 days between the ties and yes those are based on a second place finish, we'd have another tie before that otherwise

Also based on a second piece finish...

We will be at home on Sat 18th/Sun19th v ICT or Ayr

And at home to Accies/Dundee/StMurn on Thurs 23rd

    That goes without saying!

Looking like anyone can win the plays offs - it will be wide open.

At the risk of stating the obvious, we simply cannot afford to give away goals as we have struggled to score more than 2 goals per game all season ( with the exception of scoring more against part time Montrose and Alloa ).

    Only 3 weeks to go.

Our defence has been fine mostly apart from Ayr at home since Neilson took over, goalkeeping errors have been an issue in certain games

I believe we have the best away defence in the league aswell
