    O/T cricket Warks v Yorks one-dayer (19/04/19)

Yorks have bowled quite well, restricting the Bears to 270-8 innings closed (50 overs)

York’s need 67 from 8 overs with 5 wickets left.

Can be done but a big ask

Tied game. Thought that Bresnan and Tattersall might see us to victory after a bad start to the Yorkshire batting. We then lost momentum after they were both out in the same over, and needed 10 off the last over, but the batsmen could only scramble a couple of byes off the last two deliveries.

Seems as though Yorkshire fast bowler Mathew Pillans has the same script writer as Paul Warne.

"At half-time we were quite happy with their score. Then to lose five wickets quite quickly with not many runs on the board wasn't great for us.

"Bres and Tatts showed their class with a really good partnership which allowed everyone following them to come in and be a little bit more settled.

    Bres and Tatts?

    Bres and Tatts?
Either a euphemism for female body parts or something you'd find on a plate with a couple of Yorkshire puddings.

Saw Pillans play a couple of times for Surrey last season, but he already seems to have improved. Just hoping that it's not a fluke - only time will tell.
