    Brum thoughts

We just can't defend corners Just about deserved the point
    Roos. 6
    Bogle 7
    Keogh 7
    Tomori 7
    Cole 7
    Lawrence 4
    Johnson 6
    Bryson 6
    Mount 7
    Wilson 3
    Waghorn 8
Match verdict can't fault the effort Brum are hard team to play against they just let us pass it across the back wait for our mistake and pounce Bit like most teams do to us They never gave Lawrence or Wilson a kick Thought Waghorn had another good game looked really up for it His hold up play was very good he looks a lot fitter now than earlier in the season That's probably because he's playing regularly

Difficult to win with 9 players!!! 9 away league games without a win will not achieve the play-offs. Another near miss season looming. Quite what will happen in the close season is a real concern.
Frank is still learning and the summer clear out will test how much he has learnt.
A good effort from Frank and the lads, but will it be a sound foundation for the future or do we start afresh!! Could be interesting.

When Mount, Tomori and Wilson go back we don't exactly look great next season

Hope to god we don't panic and offer Nugent, Bryson etc new deals, just get rid and start afresh

Not really fussed about losing Wilson out of those 3, but will miss Mount and Tomori imo

Its time we said our goodbyes to Keogh as well, its been long overdue

Keeping it short and simple, we got done by the ref.

2nd minute Brum got a corner, Keogh tried to boot it away, got a poor contact, the ball fell on Jutkiewicz's foot and into the net.

7th minute, Waggy volleys a long booted clearance from Bogle over Camp and into the net. Camp got a hand to it but couldn't keep it out.

Their 2nd corner saw them score again. It should have been disallowed. Bogle failed to clear properly because a Brum attacker was pulling him back by his shirt. The ball fell to Morrison who put it away. Obvious foul and should have been disallowed.

Training ground corner routine works, Cole crosses and Keogh heads it in. Again Camp got a hand to it but couldn't stop it.

2nd minute 1st half injury time we should have had a penalty, 100% bailed on certain penalty, for handball. Ref didn't give it and Bryson got booked for complaining too loudly.

2nd half we started poorly but got back into the game.

75th minute Bryson (?) brought down in the box going for a loose ball. Penalty for everybody in the stadium........... except for the prat with the whistle who decided it wasn't a foul.

Game ended 2-2. Should have been 1-4. Maybe 2-4 if they had had that late penalty claim honoured but IMO it wasn't one.

We got done by the ref............ again.

Don’t understand you sometimes. First three sentences make perfect sense and I completely agree...then you chuck in, ‘it’s time we said our goodbyes to Keogh as well, it’s been long overdue’...why?
Keogh has been our most consistent player for years. Is he one of our great central defenders? Almost certainly not...but he has been the ‘rock’ around which most of our recent near miss seasons have been built.
He’s a great role model, shows more commitment than many of the rest put together and it’s clearly not just my opinion as he’s on target to be player of the season...again!
At what looks like a ‘backs to the wall time’ for Derby County why would we say ‘goodbye’ to our most consistent and committed performer?

rA, you're being way too sensible again me owd.

If the ref had got those 3 decisions right it would have been 1-4 and DCFCA would not be making those comments.

Their first, Keogh didn't clear it, clearly a mistake on his part, Jutkiewicz put it away. It happens. Then we equalised. They went ahead again. This time it was poor contact by Bogle but, in this case, it was caused by his being pulled back by Adams(?). That goal should not have stood. Two penalties not given, wrongly so in both instances.

Don't get me wrong, there were problems yesterday. Brum had the opportunity to tear us apart but a mixture of blocks and saving tackles saved the day. When our back 4 had the ball we couldn't play it out easily for 2 reasons. One was their high press. The other was a distinct lack of movement by our MF trio. Wilson? Maybe the biggest indictment of him is that the one thing I remember him doing was a very good tackle on the edge of our box. Lawrence was at least involved but all to no avail.

A 1-4 win would have seen us 7th. Above Bristol on GD and with more in the "for" column. 1 point behind Boro with a game in hand, a better GD and with more in the "for" column.

As it stands, win all our remaining games OR get 3 points more than both Bristol and Boro and we are in the playoffs. It's that close.

I'm not saying we will make the playoffs but if we are as bad as folk make out then that makes the entire League, with the exception of the top 4, crap. Not the case IMO. We have been done by injury, refs and an inconsistency to do as well as we are capable of. We might miss out but that doesn't make us bad. We might play in black and white, that doesn't mean our thinking has to be that way too.

MA ref didn't help but that wasn't why a didn't win We have not dealt with corners all season Every team knows that you watch on Monday if QPR need a goal they will bring Matt Smith on just for corners and high balls in the box

    Tactics completely flawed
For a must win game I would of preferred to go for it rather than mess about in defence mode for the whole game
No need for Johnson & Bryson together thats what cost us, plus full back don't get forward
subs like for like replacements , should of pulled off Bryson for a more forward thinking player
I maybe blame Frank, its his tactics , starts with the goalie giving it to Keogh on the edge of our box
Time to use the wide area's and hope we pick up second balls

And yet most people see our two CBs as players of the season despite being unable to do one of their basic roles, as well as being core to our crab sideways and back style of play.

    Strange times indeed.
