    Best pound for pound buy at N.U.F.C. in the Premiership

    I'd go for Kieth Gillespie at £1 million make weight when Andy Cole went the other way to Manure.

    Not my favourite player but one we could do with now.

    I never rated Gillespie... I'd wager Perez at £1.5 - 2m has been far better value....


    But Robert Lee at £700k, Peter Beardsley at £1.5m and Nobby Solano at £2.8m were all unbelievable deals....

    Rob Lee was signed when we were in the 1st Division(championship now).
    Would have to say Shearer.All them goals,all them years.Quality that we will never see again.

    Beardsley,Shearer was great but cost ten times as much and the question said pound for pound.

    Kevin Keegan as player or as manager ,when you look at it goals ,team spirit ,had us challenging for the premier League title ,the toon was buzzing .Pound for pound top dog

    Currently, Schar is looking good value at £3.5 million (i think it was that?)

    And hi fans made us a LOT of money if we're just talking pure 'value'.

    Ginola wasnt bad either. 2.5 then sold for the same two years later after all that magic.
