Which specific pages are you referring to that are just alt right old school conservatives that have been unfairly banned in your opinion? Hard to see the validity of your op without specifics (although the usual crew will be happy to confirm without a scrap of evidence!)

I notice Indonesia are fighting an ongoing battle to stop the spread of Islamic Extremists through social media.

Quote "In November 2018 Facebook said it had removed more than 14 million “pieces of terrorist content” on its platform so far in 2018 that promoted Islamic State, al-Qaeda and their affiliates.

The social media giant is using machine learning to assess posts – including pictures, videos and comments – that may signal support for the militant groups, it says.

“In some cases, we will automatically remove posts when the tool indicates that the post contains support for terrorism,” Brian Fishman, head of counterterrorism policy at Facebook, writes."

No mention of this in your postings Idiot. Is this a case of killing off free speech? Interested to hear you thoughts?

Well the Sri Lanka bombings of Christian places of worship is going to be hard to slip under the radar.

I'm sure though that the BBC will try to put a slant on it that attempts to deflect away from any criticism of Islam.

Okay some of these groups are odious but others are just alt right whose ideas are old school conservative.

What the liberals who have supported this don't realise is that they are killing of democracy and the day will come when maybe some of their own liberal ideas fall out of favour and they too will be silenced

I always thought tolerance was about allowing ideas you didn't agree with?
If you think freedom of speech is about the commercial decisions of private companies, you literally don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Facebook is allowed to do whatever it likes. Free speech is a government level issue.

Free speech doesn't mean being allowed to air any unsavoury views on any private platform you like without consequence. When you use a private service you must comply with their rules.

Even MillersMad has rules about what is permitted and what is removed by moderators.

If the government forced Facebook to allow content it considered to be extreme and hateful that would be the dangerous precedent.

But even then the judgement depends on the particular sensitivities of the moderator.

From our first breath we are bombarded with information on what's good, what's bad and by the time an individual reaches the age of 21 they are fully indoctrinated on how to think, how to react and how to toe the line.

Free thought and free speech is getting increasingly rare in the UK.

As Orwell called it Newspeak and Doublethink.

BBC just cover the news that fits with their agenda.

So nothing about the terrible terms of the WA.

Nothing about the 900 churches being defaced in France last year (only found out after the Notre Dame fire with some people speculating it could be arson).

You can't watch the BBC news and consider yourself informed anymore.

You seriously think one organisation can cover all world events equally and have staff with expertise in every area to give full insight?

    Unrealistic expectation.

On Sri Lanka blast been reading South China Daily, al Jazeera and Jerusalem Post. All just reporting facts at this stage.

And that’s the point, the BBC don’t report facts they report opinions.

You only have to look at how Laura Kuenssberg reports Brexit and how Jon Sopel reports on Donald Trump. Both slanting their reports towards their own biased opinions.
