Always thought we got it wrong when we built the new stands

The East stand should have been moved back , like wolves did with the John Ireland stand this created room for a bigger Waterloo rd stand, which we could have done with Halfords lane stand.
Newcastle have plans to turn ST James park into 70k, by moving the pitch sideways.

We can’t fill the 26,000+ spaces we’ve got even in the PL so there’s no point.

Certainly under this owner and the usual Shyster type owner we attract building bigger is pointless.

May be better turning the stands away from the pitch with some of the crap we've witnessed this season .

Good one Johnny. Bring back the scoreboard in the Woodman Corner and hope the throstle falls on Jenkins head so he’s brown bread!

I've always thought that if the situation warranted it they could extend over Halfords Lane and let the road run under the stand.

iv'e long been of the opinion that if they extended over Halfords lane by putting in an upper tier, put upper tier seating in the woodman corner, and unified the roof to form a horseshoe shape.... then we would have a decent sized top flight stadium...30-33,000 .
Then, price seating aggressively, £15-20 per seat ,kids for a quid etc ! Don't underestimate the lure of a really nice stadium to fans, and players ! players want to play in an arena, and our club is rapidly being left behind in this area. yes, the Hawthorns is a nice little stadium, but it's way down the pecking order in terms of status ! only Walsall is smaller than Albion in the West Midlands . in the East Midlands,Leicester,Derby,Forest....all bigger and newer . as a statement of intent,it would be a massive step forward for the club.

It’ll never happen with this owner, he has only one thing in mind, and that is to carry on JP’s legacy of sucking the life out of this club.

I thought the foundations of the east stand were put in big enough to put a 2nd tier on that stand
