Down the only road i’ve Ever been down-Richard Ashcroft ,Cardiff last night.

It’s been a long time since the boy from Wigan appeared in Cardiff , but after last nights performance it was worth the long wait.Wearing a beanie hat( as seen on Noel Gallaghe !!) he entertained his fans for nigh on an hour and three quarters. During that time he went through songs from both his solo career and also in his spell with the Verve before they split up many years ago.The fans were only too willing to accompany him on songs such as Sonnet, Lucky Man, Break The Night with Colour and a few more besides. My own favourites were left to the very end during the encore which included The Drugs Don’t Work, and the one we were all waiting for, the instantly recognisable “ Bitter Sweet Symphony”.Some songs you remember for a very long time and this is one of them. I just hope it’s not a long time before he comes back and entertains everyone the way he did last night. A great singer songwriter who knows how to give his fans, exactly what they want to hear.
Anyone else like his music ?
