    Back to the roots

Just watched a game in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula Football League Premier (!), at Priory Park in Bodmin. Bodmin Town FC-Camelford AFC, 2-1. No overpaid cheating primadonnas to be seen. 😎

There’s a big non league match in Cornwall tomorrow Tomas between Truro and Gloucester City......a relegation battle.

Just two divisions below the football league and a very decent standard.

Truro get decent and VERY vocal support and it’s a good atmosphere at their ground,Ive watched my non league side Stourbridge play there in the past.

Well worth a visit and I gather their beer select is okay according to my mates.

Cheers Mick, thanks for the info. Leaving Cornwall tomorrow though after a very pleasant week. Three days in Bristol and then back home on Monday.

I prefer non league football now especially as Swedish says, no overpaid cheating prima donnas. Local derby to go to on Monday when Folkestone travel to Margit. Always used to like a Bank Holiday day at Margit on my scooter. Plenty of aggro. This Monday at the football will be no different!

These “celebrity chefs” are all “outlaws” with their ridiculous prices.

Absolutely no point in paying for this overly pretentious s h I t when other people serve at a fair price.

Places like the Merrymoor at Mawgan Porth and Wax ( formerly The Phoenix ) in Watergate Bay.

Fed and watered for under £40 for two people.

Hopefully an away win. Gloucester haven't played in Gloucester since the 2007 floods. Hoping to return later this year. Currently playing their home games at Evesham. Funny how all the work places around the ground were up and running again within a week.
