Yes it is. On another thread I asked what was the most painful relegation. For me it was the Stubbs season because it felt we were relegated from about 4 games in to the season. It was an agonising slow death.

This might not be as painful but it has to be the most frustrating relegation I have witnessed.

20 or almost 20 points improvement on that season this season, maybe next time we'll stay up.

The admiration is mutual, Wendun. That may sound tongue-in-cheek but it's not. You make good points and you make them well and much of what you (and IBS, Brin, Thai Miller etc) say, should be said and recognised as having validity.

I think you miss the point of my comments on the last two Matchday threads. My gripe isn't about content; it's about timing. The last thing I want to hear as the match finishes and we're all in an emotional state is somebody banging on about what they did or didn't tell us we should have done weeks and months ago. Yes, we know this may well be true, but, please, let's leave it for the post match inquest and not 60 seconds after we've lost and another nail has gone into the coffin...

...and I was really pleased that today's Matchday thread ended so - quietly.

On the bright side CT it more than likely saves us from the dreaded 4:30am kick off on May 5th.

Believe it's very hot in PS this week - 100+ in old money. Actually I was there week before last with daughter, S-I-L and grandkids. Very windy and only warmish...then went back to our old stomping ground in Encinitas for three days to visit friends (and have a swim in the Pacific - wasn't too bad!) My son is also in PS this weekend with girlfriend staying at the Del Marcos Hotel so I'll tell him if he sees a depressed-looking fifty something man in a Millers shirt, he should buy you a beer or two!

I don't know what you mean about the Coachella totty. Focus on the work!

Should have gone in 2-0 up. Should have lost 2-4. What happens in second halves? Would love to see a half-time league table for the season. My guess is that the opposition start playing in the huge gaps between our three banks of players, leaving our lads unsure wether to attack the ball or hold off. Only an opinion of course.
The fans' backing was fine until the nerves set in after their first goal. It was inevitable that they would go on to win. Everyone in the stadium felt it.
It did seem like they were celebrating a great victory at the end, and I knew their fans wouldn't let me down with a rendering of the child abuse chant.

What was all the scrap about in the north stand. The stewards were very slow to sort it out and only a frail old steward made an attempt to sort it while the young UN's just looked on. Eventually a bigger bloke turned up but just told those who weremoaning about their lack of reaction to shut up.

I assume it was a blame warney/ players/ TS argment

Yes - around 100F but winds dying down. Can't understand why people play golf in this heat. No work, just a few days away from the NW gloom with Mrs CA, staying at the Westin Desert Willow. No RUFC shirt on view although I'm pretty good at displaying our colours through areas of sunburn/no sunburn

Most of the season we have worked incredibly despite the failure to address the obvious lack of quality. However the complete absence of tactical knowledge has been a major contributor. Only to be expected I suppose with serial relegation specialist Barker running the coaching !

Not a chance, he would have had to run more than 15 yards to get to them.
