Yes, he's a great bloke, and a 100% Miller but if he stays what will happen?
He will keep the nucleus of the squad, except, Semi, Vaulks and Smith who will go. Hopefully Towell but I think other clubs have now sussed, like we have, that he is crap so he will probably stay.
We may get promoted next season but it will be the same style of football, lumping it up to the big man ( Proctor) and relying on the new long throw specialist.
Time to draft in a promising Spanish or German coach from their lower leagues, who will get us playing football we actually enjoy watching.
A coach who can get the best out of the skilful players like Newell and Wiles.
Also the fans have now got to take the initiative and set up a supporters group that can generate real money.
We need a new man at the helm and a new philosophy and a new supporters club.

Couldn't agree more, it's exactly how i feel if we want to try and progress a little further. Need a change and a difference style of football which is good to watch and be proud about and most importantly getting the best of players the likes of Wiles.
Think Warne has done a decent job overall but the style of football drains the life out of you and enough is enough for me i want to see change.

IBS, I have to agree that I don't want to watch that style of football next season but, sacking Warne, is it truly the way forward?
Tony Stewart won't let that happen considering what they have built as a relationship over the last two seasons.
Let's just take a moment to reflect what Warne has had as tools/players at his disposal this season.
We have no idea what the recruitment guy put forward to the club as potential targets and what TS was willing pay for and what wage he was prepared to go up to. Is that Warne's fault?
Our strike force. Almost a total loss of a season on Jamie Proctor leaving only Smith to battle it alone and what an immense player he has been in that lonely lonely position. Vassell, out more than in so again cannot afford to play two up front.
I am by no means defending Warne, for at times he has frustrated the hell out of many a fan with his team selections, today being a prime example. Beating the crap out of Weds at theirs when they were on the rack and there for the taking but did Warne bring Proctor on to finish the game off? ....err no, again showing his naivety not knowing how to manage/sub at crucial times in a game.
Let's further reflect on Warne in his first disastrous post. Even Warnock wouldn't have kept us up with what was available. That must have been awful to have to go through. Fast track through last season and the man actually got us back up, albeit by the play offs at the first time of asking. Was that all hoof ball to Smith all season?
I feel you're being too harsh on Warne for all his frailties and wrong selections at times this season but, we must have had the most paper thin squad on record in the Championship so, we were bound to struggle from the offset.
We all have our idea of what we'd like to see happen to our team and who we'd like to pick to play for us. Take this point for an example, you rate Newell while I think he should go, as he offers fancy Dan dribbles when it suits him. He doesn't offer any more than Ford or Taylor but somehow he gets a start over many of the players and certainly is not a 90 minute player.
Wiles- yes this lad is definitely one for the future and shows great poise and effort for his age. One we will have to coach and not burn out before we know it.
Remember Stubbs' style of play? All rolled out from the back ala continental style and it was absolutely soul destroying to watch and that is what you want to bring into the club?
As for a new supporters group, who do you feel has or is willing to put their cash into RUFC? There are clubs much larger than ours in a small radius from our town, that are more appealing to invest in so, I cannot see how that idea will ever get off the ground.
We have come to the end of the season where once again we look like failing but in who's direction should you really be pointing your finger at besides Warne? Afterall, I do not think this season has been all about his failures.
Should we be relegated, which is almost a certainty now, for me Warne should get another chance at managing us next season and hopefully with enough strength in the side to mount a reasonable challenge to once again getting us back into the Championship.

Warne has got to go....on holiday that's for sure. Take a well earned break with his family no matter what div we end up in.
I think he more that deserves another chance to guide our club for more seasons to come and he'll have learned a lot over the last two seasons.

Il start with your last point I agree we need fans to contribute more to the club let me give an example my neighbour he pays for a senior season ticket and spends naff all in shop (ever) he considers it a waste of money but is happy for his kid to buy him a discount shirt. He never buys a drink even on the hottest day and unfortunately there’s loads of these and here’s the kicker this couple say we’ll we go to away games I haven’t got the hart to tell them that we only get s fraction of the sales on away games.
Not to mention burger vans cheap burgers 😡 😂
Now you say warne had to go hmm 🤔 not sure I agree with you on this since no matter who we get in our budget will be the same and if we drop to league one it makes me wonder why drop Paul Warne who took us up for an unknown manager who may or may not stay and have a high chance of not giving a dam. Isn't it too risky?

I love Warne. He has not failed in my book. He has got the very best out of the tools given to him.
I just think we need to rip up the idea of your typical Ronnie-Moore type, Millers team.
The gulf in class now between the teams in the championship is huge. We are never going to get above a relegation battle.
Long throws, big centre halves, hoofing it up field.....I don't want to watch this crap anymore.
Today all we did was get Rodak to aim towards the left or right back position with his kicks and hope that their defenders headed it out for a throw so Vaulks could launch it in. It was like watching a Dave Basset team.
Warne HAD TO USE THESE TACTICS because we don't have any other option given the finances and the current set up. My big fear is that we have appointed ROB SCOTT who will carry on the ROTHERHAM BRAND by scouting for big units, who can take a throw and kick it upfield and run all day long.
How about we try something else ?In many ways the Stubbs appointment was the right idea in that it tried to break the mould. It turns out he was a lousy man-manager and couldn't pick a player. Redfearn too could have been the answer but it wasn't to be. I still think we were right to try something different. Ok we might not get it right next time either but imagine if we did and we started producing a team that played decent football.
If we are ever going to become an established championship team it will not be with a team that plays the Ronnie Moore way.
Brentford are a good example. Yes they have more money than us but they have a great philosophy and are nice to watch.
I honestly don't think Warne will be able to produce that kind of football team.
A great guy but it's time to say goodbye.
It is with real sadness that I say this but I think it's time to move on.

I agree, I haven't enjoyed a lot of this season because of the type of football we play.
