What we need are our best players on the pitch in the play offs - he was right not to risk them. And our subs in a good place if they need to be called on.
I know what your saying but we could quite easily finish fifth giving villa an advantage of playing away first I believe in always playing your strongest side,we've tried this before in the fa cup rested players brought them back and still lost the game what's the point always play you're best side,Shan will regret his decision and so will the fans

Who knows? If we finish 5th, then beat the Villa 5-0 in the first leg, it would all have worked out well, wouldn’t it? We could go to Villa Park in the first leg and get hammered 4 or 5 nil and then our much desired home leg would be a waste of time. The play-offs are a lottery, whoever you play, home or away, taking your chances is the key to winning, as always!

So playing the strongest team against against Bolton, Millwall Blackburn etc. Has nothing to do with it?
He would have also regretted his decision if Gayle and Gibbs had of got injured. God how you tune would have changed then.
Do us a favour and keep your negativity away til after the season.. Then you can gloat as much as you want.

That's the point he didn't play his strongest team against those teams and others I could name that's why the playoffs and not automatic hence the sack and rightly so

Well they did. Bolton was first game of the season. Shan wasn't in charge then. But you can blame him for it if you want.
He won't get the sack. Worse case he'll drop back down.

The reason why we are in the play-offs and not in an automatic place is all the games that we failed to win from Boxing Day until we beat Swansea in March. That's the reason and not Shan's selections.

I meant to say all the HOME games that we failed to win from Boxing Day until March. Surely that is undeniable!
