The teams coming down do not concern me in the slightest.
I am sort of feeling positive like champs
Now we CANNOT spend a fortune but if spent correctly and wisely we could easily be challenging.
We know our weak areas and with hopefully a fruitful summer,we can look to next season with serious intent.

All the financial stuff mentioned by Robin is a worry, and picking up Alf's point, the only sound reason for wanting to be in the PL is the money. The football itself is almost irrelevant. If you get there, it's just about survival for most clubs. Burnley have done brilliantly in that respect...but look at Huddersfield.
Then there's Fulham - they've spent a fortune and are still heading down.
I'd love a promotion challenge because it's exciting, but we follow football in its own right, as well as a team. Unfortunately, that love of the sport tends to get lost in the fight to be "successful".
That reminds me of Despair. I wonder where he is.
Im still around and kicking !
Been more distracted by family events to be involved with football matters. Main one being ive now got a cracking grandson to dote over.
Im not one to get too engaged with the debating without sufficient knowledge of the day to day proceedings at my disposal .
All i would say is: oh look we’re pretty much settled for a 14th place finish - fancy that. 😉This after a fair amount of ‘gnashing’ going on over (our turn) of a run of less than desirable form. It happens.
Talk over TM all of a sudden being not worthy 🤨 ?
Take a note of Alfs comment over ‘why the hell would you want to be in the Prem .’ Its where the problems begin and end with the modern game. Finance not withstanding.
Storm the div next season? - id be pretty surprised , put in a challenge ? Reasonable chance.
Its pretty sad whats happening at BWFC (in my book) and is starkly reflecting the tenuous nature of this ‘chasing the cash’ business of football these days.

Sat nites predict; pure guess of 3 - 1.

Welcome back, Despair - and congratulations!
I'm going to be off the site too - for a month from 5th May.
My son, his wife and the two boys (14/10) are having six months away from NZ on a sort of mini world-tour (Europe and Central America). A lot of the time, they will be working on farms and vineyards (and in a Costa Rican animal-sanctuary!) Their daughter is joining them for six weeks in the middle, and we are having a week with them in Sicily, before doing a two-week walking holiday on the Greek islands of Tinos and Andros. We then have four days in Athens before flying home.
When we get back to our winter, we are going to have a lot of time on our hands till they return, as we normally spend a lot of our week doing various activities with the grandchildren (not to mention that it will be Rovers' summer break!)
I will miss the Swansea game, which is a shame as it should be an open, entertaining match. Really looking forward to the holiday, though - except the flights! I'm getting too old for 24 hours on a plane.

Aucks, lifes far too short to spend 24 hrs of it in an airborne tube 😕
Aah yes Greece (islands), did quite a lot of them in my early twenties , where it was far easier to ‘bum around’ very cheaply. Overnight ferry to Crete with bunk £5!
    Accommodation on farms/villas circa 50p a nite !
Slept mostly on beach/s though, living out of backpack. You could do that back then 😉
Ios was the place to be those days and spent about two weeks on it. Clothes not necess. in many coves , not advisable (for blokes) on Mykonos tho.
Dropped onto both Andros and Tinos at some point. Back then Andros was very business like (shipping magnates i seem to have been led to believe) whereas Tinos from memory was very diff to Ios and was pretty restrained.
Paros back then was generally the hub of the Cyclades. Party town ish.
I seem to recall it cost about £5 a week to live for both me and my girl.

You're taking me back. My first holiday with my (now) wife was similar to those you have described, but it was on Corfu.
I hate to admit this, but it was in 1970
Needless to say, she is a very tolerant woman.
