Blades, sharp as eve, hardly "faded"

Seen to recllect that there were comnents abiut how Blades would fade. Yeah, seems like they did, all the way to second place.

Done it in next to no budget, and with "Barn door" as one if their best strikers, so it's not impossible, only for us. 😝😝😝

My thoughts? We have a 1st team that is shot through with lightweight and cant-do's, and for reasons that escape me just can't seem to muster the kind if team spirit that Blades have for nearly three seasons on the bounce.

If that squad, with an injection of new energy from the likes if Shackleton, Halme and the like, can look at today's results and get their collective heads round what must be done during olayoffs, then yes, we can do it.

Do I think we will, no, because for whatever reason the saviour of our season is wedded to a formula and formation that isn't going to work the magic.

Sorry WTF, don't see the point in a thread which seems to glorify a rival teams success over Leeds, and also encourages shytestirrers to contribute.

Fair play to the Blunt’s on promotion on a budget, tho am fairly certain they’ll be coming straight back down, still maybe they’ll use the boost in funds wisely. The only good thing is knowing the prat that is WTF won’t be attending the matches cheering on the team.
We are on the way back, if it’s next year, so be it

Predictable response. Just because I admire what Blades have done doesn't make me any less a Leeds supporter.

"Where is th positive vibe"? You ask a question but give not one single clue as to an answer, WHERE IS THE POSITIVE VIBE?????

And please tell me what is positive about surrendering a position where promotion was ours for the taking to one where over the next month we face opposition with far greater threat that any we have faced over the latest month? Please, educate me.

It doesn't need me to "pull our team down", they do that all in their own.

    ALAW huh? Yeah, as if.

I admire what Blades have done. Makes me no less a Leeds supporter that ANYONE who posts here, just less blinkered and willing to foĺlow blindly and without criticism of the club I have supported for nearly 50 years.

Contrast and compare us with Blades. We have languished under various owners and management for a decade or more in this meatgrinder. Blades come up from League 1 and aspire to get immediate promotion to the PL. Spend is comparable over the last 18 months, we end up 3rd and highly likely to fail at the final hurdle, they get automatic promotion. Quality of product and strength of spirit, the differentiators.

No need to apologise Billy. I don't glorify Blades, but I do admire what they have achieved over such a short space of time, if only we could have done the same.

Others will (and have) throw sh1t at me for daring to question why we are where we are or what the ( generally unfavourable), comparisons are between us and Blades, let them. Only shows how blind and deĺuded they are when it comes to what is needed at ER.
