I thought the goal should have stood and not reward Villa with a goal.
Wards goal at Forest came to mind when we had 10 men!
You play to the whistle!
All credit to Bielsa for that unprecedented piece of sportsmanship this afternoon.
Hope Bamford gets a retrospective ban for the blatant cheating that led to the Villa guy being red carded...what a ****** he has proved to be...should be ashamed of himself.
As for Atwell...he just doesn’t get any better...don’t recall ever seeing any referee look more incompetent than him.

See your point MoP, maybe the difference was this time that a Leeds player seemed to ‘shape’ to put the ball out of play and then decided to play on as the defenders visibly relaxed.
Wonder if Bielsa would have behaved differently had there been more at stake? Guess we’ll never know but Bamford pretending to have been hit was despicable...hate that.
Agree RA the Leeds left back dummied as if to put it out and then slid the ball thru the static defence. If he hadn't done that, I'd concur with play on.
The Villa guy who was sent off should have it rescinded and Bamford face a disrepute charge and ban.
Supposing we get the 3 points we need to make the playoffs at Swansea, a ban for Bamford wouldn't harm our chances of finally beating Bielsa's DYS.
The guy was just wrong with Spygate. He was more than just right with his actions following this "goal". We live and learn. Bielsa seems to have learnt.
IMO if the FA don't take any action on this, we will see more of this playacting in the future. Hit him hard to help rid the game of this particular form of cheating.
Although I normally disagree with this kicking the ball out when a player is 'injured', on this occasion, it was a nothing game and I believe that Villa had just done the same thing for a Leeds player.
Also, reading newspaper reports, the Villa said that he asked Bielsa to let them have the goal, so it wasn't just a gesture from Bielsa.
After watching Bamford and Maddison's play acting yesterday, it seems the foreign disease is no longer foreign.
Wasn't there also an offside in the DYS goal?
