At least if the youngsters played and lost, it would give some of the senior squad the opportunity to recharge batteries, train so as to come to the playoffs fit and ready to do the necessary, and if the youngsters do the business and we get a result, then Ipswich ought (emphasis on ought!) to be a more straightforward affair.

Play the seniors, lose or draw, and pick up a couple of knocks to let players and the playoffs would be our swansong.
agree with much of that. Not sure our worst performances since we came back to the championship we are so much better in both squad and play than some of the recent seasons where the concept of passing the ball to another player seemed alien.

The last two games lots of players have looked shot so that is why I think they could do worse than play a lot of kids AND send those not playing away for a week to recharge and step outside the all encompassing bubble. Lots of teams do it and it seems to work.

We we have created so many chances but in the final third our football has looked stale and predictable and needs freshening up. Joel - agree completely re Bamford and Roofe. Roofe busts a gut on the field - Bamford busts my patience for his inability to match Roofe’s effort.
