Chien Lee statement on OGC Nice .... translated

"We have of course heard all that is said, written and whispered every day. The noise amplifying, it would seem necessary to specify a certain number of details to the legitimate questions of lovers of the OGC. Nice and put an end to this deleterious atmosphere. It can only hurt the club.

We do not aim to sell the OGC Nice. If we actually met potential investors, it was with the assassination of the entire board with only and unique hypothesis to see these potential investors with us to further accelerate the development of the club. We are very committed to the sustainability of the OGC. Nice, it looks like we have the natural look of studying it. It is regrettable that this noble intention can today be diverted from its purpose and leave its content in the next two words.

Our position has never changed and will not change. Mr. Christian Estrosi (Mayor of Nice), to Robert Ratcliffe, plus representatives of the People's South. Our commitment is long term. We do not use to call again, since the first day and definitively. Our recent actions also attest to this, with the reinforcement of Gauthier's drive, thanks to Gilles Grimandi (Technical Director) and Matthieu Louis-Jean (Scout Chef) from Arsenal and Manchester United. Our future actions will be in the same vein.

We are absolutely convinced that the OGC is now on track with this new organization. The First-Messages-Send-the-Next-Team-Response-to-United-United-States / United States. What we are looking forward to Just as we deplore repeated attempts at destabilization. They invariably occur at each of our home games. To exploit the Nice public? We refuse the imagination so much it would be irresponsible. When we say that we like the AGC Nice, we can consider marking our own camp.

These external attacks are destined to remain in vain. In front of them, the club displayed by his firmness is used to all the legal means at his disposal. Today, these attempts have not taken place at OGC Nice in work for the future. That they all have the support of the shareholders, the management and the coach. Because all are in the Main, in the Adversity. For the future, the question of financial means is obviously crucial. In-depth work was undertaken by the new management team. It is already starting to bear fruit and we are ensuring a significant increase in our commercial revenues.

They will be fully reinjected into the club. We never stopped investing in the team. On the contrary, since our arrival in June 2016, we have spent each season in addition to the money we promised in recruitment, and it is what we have granted additional means in 2019-20. Our team will be ambitious and attractive. It's a euphemism that Patrick Vieira knows football.

While we could have left after the departure of Jean-Pierre Rivère and Julien Fournier, he was very strongly trusted to the new management team. As she works on her prime minister, you can ask to do the same. And then, to judge on piece. The OGC Nice today needs a warm climate to finish the best way of the current season and prepare with ambition. This is the meaning of our intervention today, hoping that it will be over with a definite end to the speculations and this nefarious around the club. "

Of course, we are aware of everything that has been said and written for several days. As the noise increases, we deem it necessary to bring a certain number of clarifications to the legitimate questions posed by those that love OGC Nice and put an end to this poisonous atmosphere. It can only harm the club.

It is not our objective to sell the OGC Nice. If we did meet with potential investors, it was with the agreement of the entire Board, with the sole and unique ambition that these potential investors would join us in further accelerating the club's development. We are very attached to the sustainability of OGC Nice, and it seemed natural to us to study if this eventuality could be in the club’s best interests. It is regrettable that this noble intention can now be manipulated from its original intention and that certain sources suggest we had a secret agenda. Our position has never changed and will not change. We have made the same speech in recent days to Mr Christian Estrosi (Mayor of Nice), Mr Robert Ratcliffe, as well as to the representatives of the Popular South. Our commitment to the club is long-term. We have maintained this since day one and in each of our official statements. Our recent actions also attest to this, with the strengthening of our organization under the leadership of Gauthier Ganaye, thanks to the arrival of Gilles Grimandi (Technical Director) and Matthieu Louis-Jean (Chief Scout) from Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively. Our future actions will be consistent with this endeavor.

We are absolutely convinced that OGC Nice is now on the right track with this new organization. The new management team’s first initiatives have been very positively received by the club's environment. This is what we are looking forward to. Just as we deplore repeated attempts to destabilize the club. They invariably occur a few days before each of our home games. To manipulate the Nice fans? We don’t want to believe this is the case, as it would so irresponsible. When you say you love OGC Nice, you can't imagine scoring against your own team. These attacks are futile. In the face of them, the club will show its solidity by using all the legal means at its disposal.

Today, however, these attempts are not helping the various departments that comprise OGC Nice any good in their work to prepare for the future. But we reiterate that they all have the support of the shareholders, management and the coach. We stand united in the face of adversity.

For the future, the question of financial resources is obviously crucial. Substantial work has been undertaken by the new management team. It is already beginning to bear fruit and will ensure a significant increase in our commercial revenues. All profits will be reinjected into the club. We have never stopped investing in the team. On the contrary, since our arrival in June 2016, we have spent more money each season on recruitment than the previous one, and it is noted that we will provide additional resources in 2019-20. Our team will be ambitious and attractive.

It is an understatement to say that Patrick Vieira knows football. While he could have left us following the departure of Jean-Pierre Rivère and Julien Fournier, he clearly placed his trust in the new management team. As the new team prepares its first mercato, we can only ask you to do the same. And then to judge it on the evidence.

Today, OGC Nice has the greatest need of a calm climate to finish the current season in the best possible way and prepare its future with ambition. That is the purpose of our intervention today, in the hope that it will put a definitive end to the suppositions and the harmful rumors around the club.

Chien Lee (shareholder and chairman of the OGC Nice supervisory board) and Alex Zheng (shareholder)

    Summats not reyt darn theear.

Clubs don't feel the need to issue PR statements about a "poisonous atmosphere" like this if everything was hunky dory.

Shades of Theresa May and "We have increased spending on schools and the police". Nice fans are being "manipulated" (some would say "pillaked" ), the question is by whom ? Some Nice fans wonder why Dog has not sanctioned incoming transfers of any quality, particularly strikers, when they are the lowest scoring club in the entire league. What has happened to the £30 million profit made in transfer dealings over the last year and a half ? Why did the 20% part owner and CEO feel the need to resign from a club they loved ?

A know av been chelping on abart it fo months burram telling thi nar. Summats not reyt darn theear. It'll all cum art in wesh despite Dog feeling the need to issue statements against those who suggest he is anything other than a wonderful human being. Watch this space.

I would suggest that is a false choice Ponte.

After we were relegated within six months of Dog's arrival Dog is presently fairly immune from criticism as the players and coach are giving it a reyt go at gerrin back up at the first attempt in a similar way to Rotherham. Some fans may reflect further on his ownership after the summer transfer window, whether we go up or not.
Dog will stay until initial investment is recovered, either gradually or through the sale of the club. He will sell us at the point of maximum profit to himself. There is no financial advantage to him driving the club into administration.
