Your comparison is stupid and embarrassing, if we had drawn at Dens in May 1983 then we would not have won the league, it was a last day decider that we had to win and we did, if we won at dens in May 2016 we'd have still been relegated within a week or so, had we drawn we'd have still been relegated that night, we needed to win to avoid mathematical relegation but at that stage it was already over anyway so the Wighton goal didn't relegate us either on the night or mathematically, it simply won you the match, a match that we needed to win, a 1-1 draw was enough to see us "doon"

    Happy to help
    bang on!!!

😂😂😂😂😂 in the same way Celtic, Aberdeen etc etc all took more than 8 points from us

I imagine all those clubs will be making scarves - oh wait they are not that sad and obsessed by united

Winning a bottom spl fixture which made no difference to the outcome = funsters greatest moment

Fair enough it was a derby win and grand you were able to enjoy it.

My toes were curling for them the further I read this thread

It's not even as significant as 2005 when we directly competed and won a real relegation battle with lots at stake for both clubs and pressure on both sides that sent them doon for almost a decade where only Rangers going bust got them back on track (Dunfermline should have got a reprieve instead tbf) via a season in the top flight before the weakest first division in many years got them promotion the following year, about to go doon again

The wee'est club and biggest joke of the city clubs that can't pull a crowd unless we are the opposition

On the cusp of making history(10 in a row)its appropriate that a Funster of the highest order harks back to happier times to celebrate a defeat of a team who has tormented him for the best part of FORTY years,FACT.

So, in summary, it appears to be that United fans celebrate United winning trophies, while Funsters celebrate United disasters. Note - Dundee Football Club are the irrelevance here.

Which in itself is no surprise whatsoever.

18th of March 1987,the night i partied in the Gods of the Camp Nou and the resort of Lloret De Mar Funsters were gripped back home by the ongoing saga as to whether Newton and Ridley would sell the Rovers Return to Bet Lynch,FACT with a WASC.
