I’ve had one before & completely rubbered it. I think they make their money from panicking housewives.
Anybody been stickered for parking more than 2 hours in Morrisons on West North St, or Asda at the beach, amoungst others? Do they have any legal jurisdiction to do such a thing?
If you ignore the notice, do they follow up with a further letter to your home?
They must have access to the DVLA to get the car's registred address?

Ive shunned one in my life and never heard anything back. It was at Morrisons on West North St
Im not saying its what you should do but that was about 4 year ago
I think the rule is that you pay the police & council tickets & everyone else can go f*ck themselves. In the unlikely event they do take you on, I think they have to prove that you saw the signs in the car park warning you of the dangers. I’m assuming you didn’t see them, otherwise you wouldnt have parked for so long
Treat it like all problems in life. Annoying neighbours, tax man looking for money or a hint of blood in the urine.... just ignore it and hope it goes away.
Shocking advice. You did the 'crime' FtH, you should pay the fine. Ignore this lawless bunch, hopefully old bill/karma catches up with them.
Incidentally Mason, did I ever chip in for that parking fine you got for the Dons Huns game? I know it was my intention, just wondering if i ever got round to it.
It used to be that they had no legal force but that they would plague you with threats which of course is water off a duck's back to most of us but can spook the wives a bit.
However, I'm sure that they won some court case a couple of years ago putting them on a stronger footing.
I noticed it at the time but don't remember any of the details.
I got one can't remember where maybe the Asda down at the beach .
Didn't pay it and never heard anything back . it was an English company .
I got one of these from the Holiday Inn at Edinburgh Airport. The thing that pi55ed me off was that I was actually in there having lunch and a drink waiting on sis in law. Apparently, I had to register with them, that I was using the car park. I obviously didnt, as I didnt read that bit of small print and got a ticket through the mail a few weeks later.
Got three follow ups saying they may take me to court, then nothing.
