Looks like the smoggies will be getting rid of Pulis.Unless Hughton takes a break after this I can see him walking straight into that job.One thing is for certain,he wont be out of a job for long.

Two good posts. I hope we'll see him in the Prem again and I reckon he'd actually be a good fit for Boro.

Edit...although I don't want to see him in the Prem with the smoggies...

I'd rather see him in the Prem with the Smoggies than with Blunderland, should they eventually get out of the Third Division.

The way the footballing climate has changed, it means managers have a (generally) very quick expiry date.
Chris Hughton is well respected by most footballing people. He's certainly well loved/liked by Newcastle fans.
His ability as a football manager is not in question.
However, whether you're Jose Mourinho or Tony Pulis...or even Chris himself.... you're only as safe and as good as your results and your ability to get your squad entertaining the fans in doing so, before the call for your head becomes imminent by the fans and/or the hierarchy of the club.

Now we are on the outside looking in at Chris Hughton and doing it based on emotion (mainly) and respect for him, we tend to think his sacking is unjust. It may well be; but in football, a change is as good as a rest in many cases. It doesn't always work and may backfire on Brighton and they get relegated next season. However...where could Hughton take them from this point on, other than a bigger struggle (potentially)...because I doubt they will replace their outgoing players for much better, if at all.

West Brom apparently interested in speaking to him.

West Brom would be an ideal spring board for C.H. A genuine Premiership club operating in the fizzy and wanting desperately to return to where they traditionally belong.

I think if he went there and got them up he could have a good run with the Baggies.

Baggies would be a great club for him and i think he'd do well there.
