    Fao bt

Here you are BT, this is what you've been waiting for, the evidence, the smoking gun.

    Most offsides in the PL.

    1) Wood (Burnley) 53

    2) Murray (Brighton) 38

    3) Vardy (Leicester) 37

Not even close, what a feckin numpty.

It is because for a forward he is ponderously slow so he knows he needs a head start on PL defenders.

But how long is a game Alf, the ball is only in play for about 56 minutes on average, and often we only have the ball for 30% of that time. Takes a special talent to get yourself offside so often in a team that only very rarely sees the ball.

If we look at it subjectively he’s off side because that is the only ball we play, our whole system is based around the ball up to him ( not defending the stat and he shouldn’t get caught as much as he does ).
However I think a big part of it is that , Brighton similar to us and Leicester try that a lot with Vardy on the counter attack.

I’m not overall happy with Wood tbh for a lad his size he should bully centre backs but he doesn’t , the offside thing I think you can put down to our tactics and us being slow to release the ball a lot of the time.

Earlier this season especially, our midfield cork and Westwood looked to pick a pass and then checked so many times that the forwards or wider men never new if it was being delivered or not that’s frustrating as a front man as you will get caught offside more than usual.

All good and fair points army, to be honest I don't mind Wood, I've seen plenty worse playing for us. I started this thread to see if I could get BT going on one of his anti-Wood rants, but he doesn't seem to be around at the moment. Probably touring the country in his latest expensive limo, preaching socialism to the masses.

I'm back now sinkov and biting! All the thick phooker has to do is look across the line, but he is incapable of doing even that. Wood's favourite is to go into the opposition half just over the half way line, then waits until the ball is kicked forward and then he comes back into our half and looks bemused why the AR has his or hers arm up with a flag in it!

If we have a really thick employee and we can easily rectify his most obvious fault we will alert him to it, train him not to do it, boost his confidence and slowly we end up with a really star performer.

If us numpties can see Wood's most obvious fault, the stats categorically prove it, then surely Dyche and his coaching team can sort it?

Is there a Christmas bonus ? And is there paid paternity leave, you never know what you might find down Clitheroe on a Friday night.
