This was always going to be the case unfortunately. Happily, Bouhenna made us say Calum Who? Arguably Rachid if anything was an upgrade on Butcher on Friday night and personally, even if Butcher had been fit, really couldn’t be dropped following that. It’s not to say Butcher will not continue to be a big player for us into the future however.

Butcher hasn't featured yet, know he had an injury but hopefully he won't be long back, imo crucial to have him fit and available most of the time

When him and Harkes played together we won most games, having them plus Bouhenna all available will stand us in good stead

Yeah, I agree. In fact Butch could've been the player that got us over the line in last season's play offs. We missed him in the games vs St Mirren IMO.

I hope he gets fit and up to speed asap. I think we've got adequate cover in the short term, but I think we're a better team with him in the midfield.
