Plenty of top strikers miss sitters. Plenty more strikers who are decent miss sitters. Nothing new here.
Put a top striker in the wrong set up and he can struggle to adapt and certainly lose a lot of confidence.

Gayle's been wrote off too easily I think.
Perez was written off massively by a lot of fans.

Perseverance is the key along with ensuring you get the best from the ability of the player.
Gayle was robbed of a lot of that in the premier league with us, in my opinion.

Gayle missed far too many chances for palace in the premier.

Joined us in the championship and scored for fun.

Then in the premier he started missing them again. Returned to the championship and scored for fun again...

He is capable of scoring goals at ANY level... but he has a metal block at the top level...

For that reason, he will never be a top level striker.

Several managers have had the same view....

    Agreed Mick.

He could be fine in the prem but has massive mental block on it.

    Which is a shame really.

So Ashley thinks £16.5m for Rondon is a risk?

Yet, he is demanding £20m for Gayle?

A lesser player, who is ONE MONTH younger!!!

    For phux sake!
