    We have just signed Joel Senior, a 19-year-old right-back from National League outfit Curzon Ashton.

    Exciting times eh?

    It's a bit of a punt but he has been playing at a decent non league level from a very young age, so who knows. He can't do any worse than 99% of our youngsters over the last ten years can he, in fact he's been playing at a higher level than many of them have ever achieved, including those who played in FA Youth Cup semi-finals.

    I'm not so negative.These are the type of signings where,occasionally,you find a diamond.He won't cost us much and given full time training with us who knows?

    Not being negative at all barrie, but we have had a good half dozen goes with this sort of signing recently and none have been anywhere near making it. However, if you don't shoot, you don't score.
