At least Hayden has good reason to want to leave.
Did Didi Hamann say he wanted to home to Germany, Only to sign for Liverpool. I can't remember?
It's a shame that Hayden wants away (although i don't begrudge him that), as he and Lohgstaff would have been a good starting midfield pairing and probably saved us from having to fund replacements. Even if Rafa stays i can't see him convincing Hayden to stay.

Apperently because he's in the last 2 years of his deal Man Utd reckon they can secure him with a bid of £25 million.
I hate to say i could see the fat man accepting that but. . . :|
I don't think MA would sell Longstaff for less than 35-40 mil. Don't the prices normally go up when it's homegrown talent with a bright future?
He wont leave.
If Longstaff wants to leave and can't be persuaded to stay at Newcastle, then it makes sense to sell him.
If he wants to stay at Newcastle and make a name for himself on a much improved contract, which appears to be closer to the bone, then he lives his real dream and has family security, regardless.
It's ok for people to say the club will sell him if the price is right. It's not really a case of whether the price is right. It's a case of whether the player wants out, like in the past when we've lost many players for varying reasons, from their own mindset, not the club.
Having said that, rumours are always rife about players, whether it's us in for a whole host of them or whether clubs are sounding out our best players and also players that are surplus to requirements.
The reality only comes to the fore when it becomes a nailed on done deal.
What will be, will be.
If Longstaff stays plays well next season, He could be worth double. Rafa might of told Ashley, If Longstaff stays I stay.
