One of the things Rafa wants altered is the clubs policy of not buying players over 26.

I think the compromise on that stance would be...

Buy Rondon, Give Ritchie a new contract...

    Other signings to be younger...

I think Rafa could work with that as well.

Let's face it, if Fatty said he wasn't budging on those 2 points the conversation is over, Rafa would not continue to waste his or the clubs time.

Moreover it's prime click bait territory, we're all waiting desperately to hear something positive.

I've read every Horse sh!te web article and none of them know what's going on. Let's face it, only the people in the room know what's going on & as long as IT IS going on things should be taking as positive rather than negative.

    Cheers lads
    Aye. Well said.

If there was really no room on negation on those two points, we'd know because Fatso would of briefed out that Rafa was refusing to compromise and they'd done all they could.

I still think we'll lose him but i don't think we have yet.

Agreed. The two of them are older but proven in our team (that makes a big difference).

    Ominous is the right word...

The longer the talks go on, the greater the chance it's because fatso is refusing to budge....and it won't be long before Rafa says 'right, I've tried my best'...and walks off.

I tend to go the other way on this.If there was no chance of Rafa staying surely we would know by now.Why would talks last 3-4 days if fatty wasnt willing to compromise.Would only take Rafa 2 mins to tell him where to go.Cant see Rafa wasting his time if no progress was being made.
At least I am hoping this is the case.
