Thread: Four candidates

  1. #1

    Four candidates

Down to four candidates for the managers position according to Dowling.

    https://www.expressandstar.com/top-s...ur-candidates/

    Wonder who they are?

    Hughton
    Cowley
    Allardyce
    Pulis

    Or

    Shan
    Appleton
    Brunt
Lai's second cousin's twice removed dog?

They're going to speak to them "in the next couple of weeks" but this doesn't necessarily mean we will appoint a new gaffa in two weeks time. Oh no, that would be too incisive and fast moving for Albion.

    You couldnt make it up

It will be someone very cheap. Jenkins is going through yet another round of internal cost cutting according to a friend who works at the club. Be hard not to see this reflected in the appointment.

The longer they drag it out the more they save in wages.

That is the likely scenario, but that is short sighted. They need to work fast, pay the going rate and get the right man in today, so that they have all summer to get done what they want to do, instead of leaving it all to the last minute.

    Fat chance I guess!

Not managers we need it's decent players, I believe if Shan had been in charge from day one we would have made automatic promotion.

I would think that the four candidates would be

    Shan
    Tea Lady
    Turnstile Operator
    WBA123

Personally, I would go for WBA123 because he would be try to overturn the result even if we lost. The only bad thing would be that we would end up with too many left wingers in the team!

Had an experienced manager been recruited when DM was sacked we probably would have done better. Shan did well and credit where it's due, but he's not what we want and many decisions showed his inexperience. Not just the manager though but lack of quality and pace in the squad as Vile and Derby showed!

    Lai out!

Me too - recruitment should be as simple as 123!
