    Billy Hewitson

Took a very difficult decision into his own hands to sack a popular with some Gary Naysmith . Hewitson only had a short time to act after the final league match and the play off game some three days later. A spark , a different voice was badly needed in the dressing room and time was running out fast to save our skins . Football is a harsh game and the decision was taken with the greater interests of the club in mind. Billy Hewitson's actions have kept us in the Championship. I think it can be summed up as simply as that

We would never in a million years have won through those playoffs with Naysmith in charge, not a chance.

The decision payed off but could have been done sooner

Can't argue with that summary JR especially with reference to the popularity of Gary Naismith with the supporters. In life the critical decisions are not always the easy ones when it comes to the individuals involved.

Absolutely spot on. Personally I quite liked Gary but the results and performances for the 2nd half of the season were unacceptable. We ended up with the same points total as one of the worst Falkirk side in decades so he had to go.
