Thread: THE FINAL - time for promotion 🙏🙏🙏

  1. #11
Both teams have hit a run of form, but if United can win on Thursday night they will have the edge over the 2 legs - but it's 50 - 50 and will be a tight match, with the outcome unpredictable.

United have nothing to fear and everything to gain.

St Mirren did look really good against Dundee at the weekend, but this was after Dundee were playing with 9 players.

It's wide open for both teams with everything to play for.

I don't think they did, very average

However in good form with a spirit in team and fan base

The two times the top flight side has been relegated in the play off in recent years they were on a downward spiral

However despite what some have said in media, we did beat them in paisley while we were down to ten men and that was after the jan window

They have more to lose so bigger pressure on them, tough to call

There is a 50/50 chance we won't go up, so prepare for that outcome too and be positive regardless, with Neilson in charge and the backing he'll get, next season will be a good one either way, we are on the up as a club
Agree 100% with the above, looking back to the start of the season i honestly thought the play offs were out of reach and i am not kidding.

My daughter's team would look good against the FUN so we should disregard that one,its probably more appropriate to look at their form v Hamilton which was impressive. Its worth remembering that the player who went hame with the match ball yesterday had not scored a single goal in the league until he came on as a sub at Dens,FACT.

Hey GB, does your daughter still play for Farfir? U17s now?

Results wise Saints have hit form, yes. However against 11 men, they have only mustered 2 wins since January, and one of them was against Dundee.

Their last 3 wins have been against 9 men Dundee where they 1-0 behind, 10 men Hamilton 0-0 and 10 men Livingston where they went 1-0 behind.

Let's just say the form table doesn't quite tell the full story.

I’ve not seen Saint Midden play a single game this season...anyone able to enlighten me about how they typically play? Where do most of their goals come from? Long balls, wide balls etc??

That's great. Dryburgh 17s are playing in a league with mostly Edinburgh (and area) teams. It's a right pain in the arse. 😂
