The thing is although AH tenure is the worst (probably) ever, it could turn out to be the best thing that could of happened to notts. If the SA consortium have got serious money and actual plans we could actually progress.

Is the best thing about the SA consortium the fact that they’re not Alan Hardy? Does anyone know anything more?

We don't know anything concrete, but several people have hinted at the fact that they have big funds and big ideas - Charlie Slater being one.

The May group seem the opposite - a bunch of chancers with no real interest in progressing the club on or off the field.

Not much then is there? Whatever the case, I would think slinging abuse at a man who appears at best to be mentally fragile is probably not the greatest idea when he’s got the future of the club in his hands.

He was pretending to not be Hardy, it's was a complete and utter embarrassment he's bought upon himself on social media. He should know the people he engaged with despise him with a passion, to the point they are also embarrassing themselves. He needs to get his head down, sell the club to the group that has the best way out of the mess he's got us into. The last three seasons a large club has been relegated into the national league because of owner issues. Leyton Orient, Chesterfield and now us.

Leyton Orient having decent and stable ownership has now got back into the league, we need to follow that model and Hardy needs to expedite himself from the situation as quickly as possible. If not, his pride and joy will be gone in the golf course. Hardy doesn't own us, Paragon Leisure owns us, and the owe Paragon Interiors £7m and their only assets are Notts and the Golf Club. If Notts go into Admin, he'll lose his golf club

I agree, BFP. To antagonise a man who still has the power to affect our future is not really the wisest thing to do. To keep sniping at the man who rescued us from the Trew era is unneccessary, pointless and spiteful. We all know of his mistakes and Nolan's incompetence and that their combined "reign" has led directly to our present situation, but the constant flow of insults achieves nothing and is contributing to a general atmosphere of gloom.

Why not assume Alan Hardy is still a Notts fan and is trying to leave us with responsible owners?

Have the identities of all the people he's engaging with been checked? Does he know if they are all Notts supporters? Surely there are some out there who are revelling in our plight and will take every opportunity to kick us when we are down - but the nature of Social Media, as even here, is that few people know who anybody is. That idiot thinks he's engaging with like-minded friends. He's been told - he doesn't listen, or listens for 5 minutes, and does it again - he gets told again, he doesn't listen - rinse and repeat.

I wonder if his friends are simply in despair now and abandoning him because you'd need to be thick skinned to keep supporting him.

Ah yes one thing he did do, rescue us from the slime that owned the club before. They started the ball rolling to oblivion and Hardy volleyed it into the hole.

Too bloody right. One imagines they're not the sharpest fans we've got.
