    What will/can Boris do?

Now that Theresa has been given the bums rush, how can Boris succeed with Brexit?

    Remember, Parliament has voted against...

    No Deal
    Peoples Vote
    The Deal

And he will have a minority Government and so will need the support of the DUP.

The DUP helped to scupper The Deal because of the Irish backstop conundrum. And unless Boris can come up with a workable solution to it, any new deal will fail in Parliament as well.

The last thing the Tories want is a GE - they would be toast.

    So what CAN he do?

As far as I can tell he doesn't need to do anything. At the end of October, in accordance with Article 50 of the Treaty of Rome, we leave the EU. If there is no WA in place then we leave without one. The only way we can stay in is we either request a further extension and all the other 27 EU countries agree to it, or we revoke A50.

Boris or any other can't do anything really the deal on the table from the EU has been voted down god knows how many times so what does that leave, we still have the same 3 options, Stay in, No deal, or the May Deal. Staying in isn't really an option now as we will end up getting dry bummed at every opportunity by the EU, at the minute letting the clock wind down to October and leaving on a No deal basis is looking like the best option we have.

Well, that's all very well but Parliament are in a very playful mood.

Last time they took things into their own hands and voted against a no deal Brexit.

They also voted against a peoples Vote.

What makes you think that the very same people won't repeat this exercise?

Actually there is no such thing as a no deal Brexit to vote against. Article 50 says we leave on October 31st, we can leave with a WA, or we leave without one. But leave we must, unless we ask to stay, and they say yes. Maybe parliament can force Boris to request an extension, but it's then in the gift of the EU whether we stay or not, our parliamentarians will be powerless. And Macron for one has had enough, he wants us out, like yesterday, and the only reason the EU is extending this process is to get their greasy mitts on the £39 billion, once they realise that has gone beyond recall, they'll gladly show us the way out.

The only other way is to revoke A50, but they wouldn't dare do that.

    .

    oh dear.....another Bullingdon boy !

So sad that Theresa wasn't allowed....and only given a part through the dullest of Intervals....is it time to order in one of the Bloodline - Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson perhaps ?.....descended from Adelheid, Baroness de Pfeffel - the illegitimate daughter of Prince Paul of Württemberg, and a great-great-grandson of King George II. George II was also David Camerons eigth-great-grandfather btw.... and who's a fifth cousin twice removed of the Queen and a seventh cousin of Princes William and Harry, a descendant of William IV....making Dave and Boris - Cousins.....Keep it in the Family ?

nah - just one of those things - all very innocent and nothing nefarious....i'm sure

Is he that bothered, indeed did Boris ever even want to leave the EU?
My take has always been that Boris's 'Grand Plan' was to lead a high profile, but not quite successful campaign to leave the EU, after which call me Dave Cameron would resign and Boris could contest the Tory leadership with a pitch along the lines of: "Well I couldn't quite get us out of the EU, so we're stuck with it, but I've proved my credentials as the anti-Europe/Britain first/proper-Tory strong-man who will ensure we get the best possible deal from the EU" and would roll almost unopposed into 10 Downing Street.
That plan went to rat-**** the moment the Brexit campaign was won, or in reality with regard Boris' plan, lost. At which point he moved to Plan-B: Duck for cover until there's been an intervening period of debate and argument (the Theresa May era) trying but ultimately failing to resolve an impossible/no-win situation, but much more importantly creating plenty of scapegoats and then stand for the Leadership. Wherever this debacle of Boris' making heads next, you can be sure that any difficulties/disasters are entirely due to the decisions made by TM & her team over the last two years and nothing whatsoever to do with Boris and his buddies.
