Regardless of political leanings this guy has been a terrific journalist and TV host.
I’m going to miss This Week when it ends in a few weeks time......the humour,the insight and the picking apart of any pomposity by any contributor of ANY persuasion.
He might be 70 now but he’s still as sharp as a tack.

Hear hear Mick , looking on the bright side I won’t be so tired on a Friday morning for much longer. Why the BBC have chosen to axe this programme is beyond me . Over a million viewers watched Thor programme last night which is amazing for the time of night on

Replacing him on that show would’ve been impossible so I presume something new will crop up.
It needs someone incisive with journalism and with wit.....not many out there now to choose from.

It’s a pity that Andrew Neil didn’t take over as Question Time host, Fiona Bruce is not very good.

Someone like Adam Boulton at SKY or even that rabid “Leftie” Jon Snow would’ve been better.
Emily Maitlis is also a class performer and easy on the eye too.
